Wait for the image to load completely. The loading time depends on the speed of your connection and the size of the files. You will see the downloading progress on the bar at the bottom of the image panel. At DSL speeds, an image only takes seconds to dowload completely. To activate the controls, click over the image at any time, even while downloading. Control Panel... The ImmerVision control panel appears at the lower left side of the photo. The following controls are available:
Shows/hides the Hot Spots. The Hot Spots are special areas in the
panrama that links to another panorama. The Hot Spots feature is not used in our Gallery. Shows/hides
the Sun or lights. ImmerVision's software enables us to create
very special Sun and light effectsthat emmulate the real sunbust rays that you get when pointing a camera directly to the light source. This effect enhances the realism of the panorama and is programmed into most of our photos, but if you don't like it, just click it off with the Sun button! Start / Pause
automatic pan from the current point of view. All our panoramas will
automatically start a slow rotation to the right. This rotation will stop immediately if you PAN in other direction by using the mouse. (See PAN instructions below.) If you have changed the point of view and you want to START the automatic pan just press this button again anytime. Changes to full screen mode
or back to small
size. All panoramas start at a small size. We HIGHLY RECOMMENDthat you press this button to change to FULL SCREEN MODE! Things look much better like that....huh?! If your computer has a slow processor or you have all those other open windows (grrrr...) then things might slow down a bit. To return back to small size you can press the button again (it appears on the upper right side of the panorama) or simply press the ESC (Escape) Key! "Moving
around" the panorama...
To "move around"
(to look in any direction) just "left click"
over the image and move the mouse while holding the button
pressed (often called "dragging with the mouse"). The faster you move, the faster you will travel. When you release the mouse click, the movement will slowly stop producing a very natural feeling of innertial movement. Some viewers have experienced slight dizziness afeter viewing full immersion panoramas .Should that happen to you, just take a break...and of course come back soon! You can ZOOM IN or ZOOM OUT by pressing Shift (IN) and Ctrl (OUT) any time!! You can also right-click on the image and drag the mouse up for ZOOM-IN or down for ZOOM-OUT. If you have a mouse-wheel then you can ZOOM-IN or OUT by moving the wheel up or down! Well that's simple enough... ![]() There are two important points in a full immersion panorama: the zenith and the nadir. The zenith is the highest point above the observer (the sky or ceiling above your head!) and the nadir is the point just beneath the observer (your feet!). Going beyond these two points will generate an "upside-down" view! We left this possibility open for you as a viewer to experiment with (who knows what new experieence you might find here....hmmm). ![]() |
